We had an initial consultation online with Nathan about our boisterous adolescent dog and his behaviours that were becoming an issue for us as we welcomed a new baby to our family. Nathan listened to our issues and unpicked behaviours linked to his daily routines and what our dog is trying to communicate to us. From this he gave us a plan to help us meet his needs better and structure his day. We had so many light bulb moments that made us feel like Nathan really understood our dog and our lifestyle without even meeting him. It's a testament to Nathan's skill and knowledge as a dog trainer and has given us the hope and positive direction we desperately need with our lovely pooch. We are so excited to see the results that follow. Thank you!!

We were trying to find a good behaviourist who would be able to help one of our dogs. After seeking recommendations on our local Facebook group we decided on Attune Dog Training & Behaviours, which was highly recommended. This has proved to be the right choice. Nathan is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Has great communication skills and a passion for his work. He has made us aware of some behaviour issues that our dog shows, which we weren’t understanding and has helped us on a road, to hopefully improving his life and ours. We wouldn’t hesitate to ask for assistance again if needed and can highly recommend Nathan.

Nathan has been fantastic in bringing about a remarkable transformation in my young springer spaniel and I can't recommend him highly enough. I have owned a springer spaniel before, but contacted Nathan when I struggled with my new one as she had become quite a challenge to live with! There were several issues that I was trying to cope with and I was at a loss as to how to move forward with her. During our initial consultation Nathan identified that she was stressed, both at home and in the outside world, and this was the underlying reason for the behaviours she was displaying. I have learned so much from Nathan during the training process and I use the skills he has taught me on a daily basis. I now know how to 'read' my springer, and when to make adjustments to her walks and routines, to support her, meet her needs, and maintain her new found restfulness. Nathan is very patient and was happy to answer my endless questions. He is also honest, and this enabled me to progress and move forward with my springer. Nathan has been very supportive throughout, and his encouragement gave me the confidence to keep going when I was finding things tough. By following his advice I now have a routine that suits my springer's unique personality. The positive changes in my dog since I started working with Nathan are amazing. She is not only a calm spaniel now, but also a happier one who is making great choices without needing any cues from me. Her confidence in the outside world grows week on week, and this is resulting in increased attentiveness towards me when we are out and about. She is also much easier to live with, and her relationship with my older dog has greatly improved too. This has all been accomplished as a result of Nathan's training and guidance. Thank you Nathan for everything you have enabled me to achieve, and for restoring calmness back into my life with my spirited spaniel.

Nathan, professional, patient knowledgeable, Thank you Nathan for all your guidance and help with Trudy, my lovable black bundle of fur. As a new pet owner I must admit some things were a bit difficult, as she is a Cockerpoo and has the traits of both breeds. On your visit to my home, it was amazing to see within five minutes you had read her and within ten minutes she was sitting next to you calmly! You were always very straight with your comments which is very refreshing. Telling me that she was restless and couldn’t relax and that caused her to not sleep enough. The reason for this I was trying to make her obey on walks and in the wrong environment, therefore not letting her be a dog! Your suggestion to change her walks to places where she could “sniff” and be a dog, made immediate changes to Trudy. Your guidance with using the long lead on walks and how to help her meet and deal with dogs on her walks. She is now very happy contented and I am a very happy and contented owner. I now have the confidence in taking her anywhere and we now know each other and I have learnt to read her and understand her needs. The last walk we did with your two lovely dogs was inspirational and Trudy obviously enjoyed the experience. It is a memory I will treasure. I wish you great success in the future and I have and will recommend you to anyone needing a trainer. Best wishes Wendy and Trudy

Nathan’s expertise, knowledge and honesty set him apart in his field and have certainly set us up for success. We started with a deaf greyhound puppy who found the outside world very stressful and in turn she became very frustrated at home. Through learning about arousal levels, working within her comfort zone and implementing management strategies we have started to see who Matilda really is, she’s able to maintain food drive in mentally taxing environments and even enjoys off lead walks! Being a dog owner can be hard sometimes - Nathan has been there through all the bumps in the road and each week never fails to put a smile back on my face when working with Matilda.

Our Romanian rescue dog was experiencing anxiety with other dogs and people when we contacted Nathan for help. After a thorough consultation with Nathan we knew we’d made the right choice in behaviourist. Nathan is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and experienced with Romanian rescues (and their owners!) His communication skills are second to none both in person and when offering online support. We would recommend Nathan to every dog owner because of our experience. We can’t thank you enough Nathan. You’ve changed our family for the better. Nush and Kyle x

You will be very lucky if come across Nathan to help train your dog. We have just finished our first block of training sessions and I can categorically say they have been incredibly valuable. Dottie is a two year old PatterJack. She was a lockdown pup who had a rocky start. She came to us pretty feral in lots of ways. I knew as soon as I met Nathan that it was going to be all right and that we would with his help do our best to make her the happy well rounded dog that she is becoming. The two hour home session was an eye opener and Nathan nailed Dottie’s personality completely. As well as that, his knowledge of canine behaviour is outstanding. We have learned so much since training started. Listening to Nathan and putting into practice his recommendations changed my perception of the human, canine relationship in an exciting way. If you are starting on this journey, or your dog for other reason may need a trainer then I cannot recommend Nathan highly enough.

Nathan has been amazing. Before meeting with Nathan our Rottweiler Bella was very reactive. Especially with other dogs and people. Walking her was not fun and I especially was starting to find it very difficult to control her. We met with Nathan and he talked us through Bellas behaviour, and ours. It was such an eye opener to hear how Bellas problems, stemmed from us and how we had inadvertently trained her to be that way. We started working with Nathan straight away. Followed his advice on changes to make at home and on walks to take Bella back to basics, to help de-stress and regain her trust with us. Then we started to meet with Nathan and it was great to have someone there to guide and support us and Bella. We chose to do quite a few sessions with Nathan so as not to risk making mistakes that would be detrimental to Bellas progress. With Nathan's guidance we learnt how to read Bella's body language and how to manage her stress levels so that she didn't feel the need to rush in head first to situations. We slowly built her confidence so that now she is calmer and more confident and in Nathans words, is just able to relax and be a dog. The changes we've seen in both Bella and ourselves are remarkable. We no longer dread walking Bella and instead look forward to walking her in open fields where she can just do what dogs do. We now know how to help and support Bella when she does meet other dogs and people and following Nathan's advice we see improvement every day. Nathan was very honest with us from the start. He explained it would be a long process and would take a lot of effort from us. He was right and Bellas training will continue, but we are so pleased with the changes we've seen not only in Bella but in ourselves. Working with Nathan has been the best decision we've made, we had tried two trainers preciously, none of which took the time to explain the reasons behind her behaviour, or explained what we were doing wrong. I can't recommend him enough and we are ever so thankful he agreed to work with us. If you and your pooch are having problems, please call Nathan. It was the best decision we made.

I bought myself an 8 week old Labrador x Basenji puppy at the start of February and named him Sefton. Although I have had dogs all my life I thought it might be sensible to get some training advice from a qualified dog trainer. Most trainers seemed to offer Puppy training in groups however Nathan at Attune Dog Training came out to my place to meet Sefton. He advised me about diet, toys and types of leads amongst other things, and we discussed my hopes and aims. These were to have Sefton come back to me when walking off lead and to be good when walking on a loose lead especially when mixing with the public and other dogs. So I booked in 10 sessions with Nathan. The first 5 were in a public park area where we used a long lead and got Sefton used to recall and to interacting with other dogs and people in a calm and sensible manner. The next 5 sessions took place in the town centre where Sefton learnt how to walk sensibly on a loose lead whilst taking in the environment and all of its scary aspects, cars/ motorbikes/ lorries/ rowdy children etc. As well as training Sefton, Nathan taught me the signs to look out for in Sefton's body language and how to forestall problem incidents before they happen. Thanks to Nathan, eight month old Sefton is a joy to take out on walks be they in the woods, along the river or through the town or village. I also now have the tools and knowledge to keep working with Sefton as he continues to mature. I cannot recommend Nathan highly enough and if you have a dog that needs training, please contact Nathan. You won't be disapointed.

We cannot recommend highly enough. As first time puppy companions, although we had always had rescue dogs in our life before, we had become confused by all the advice and opinions available, this had made us worried and anxious about everything, and desperate to "get it right" - not good for us and very bad for Milo our springer puppy. I sought some advice on "Wag This Way South West Walks and Events", a Facebook group started by Nathan and his wife, about something specific. Nathan responded with really balanced and thoughtful advice. This prompted me to get in touch and book a session with him. Throughout the six sessions with Nathan we learned so much about Milo, but more importantly about ourselves. Nathan was patient and very kind in his feedback and his gentle honesty was much appreciated, explaining to us what we were doing and how Milo was perceiving us. He gave great advice on play, redirection and walking with Milo, focusing his attention and engaging him safely in the world around him. Nathan also gave us lots of information about the health and wellbeing of a growing puppy. Most of all we came away with our confidence restored and equipped with much to work with. Milo really took to Nathan and responded to him beautifully. The learning and support we received has equipped us to develop and maintain a growing relationship with Milo and the skills Nathan gave us are used every day. Because of Nathans positive, reward based approach with sessions in the home and environments away from the home, we now have a very happy 7 and a half month old springer spaniel puppy who is growing in confidence, reliable off lead, and willing to learn so much more, and we feel confident in knowing how to apply all we have learned to different situations. The best thing for us is to see Milo making good decisions, and using his very active, quick to learn mind and seeing the sheer joy on his face. Nathan really showed us to see the potential and not to be limited in our expectations and has brought us a whole new and exciting perspective on our life with Milo. Having previously had experience of other dog trainers we wouldn't go to anyone else now. Nathan has provided us with an exceptional service professionally, his methods and depth of knowledge inspired our confidence in him and we have benefited from regular contact outside of booked sessions which has also been invaluable. Alongside this we now attend the "Wag Walks" and have found a great group who meet regularly to walk their dogs together supported by Nathan and a team of very helpful and knowledgeable people passionate about dogs. Thank you again Nathan Stu, Gwen and of course Milo
