I had booked a table for 5:30 PM on a Sunday night, and we were literally the only two people in the entire restaurant other than the waitstaff. Yet, we were never rushed to leave. That was greatly appreciated. The portions are large, so go for the smaller one if you have the choice. Dinner was obviously fresh made and quite good. Way too much for me to eat it all, even though I picked the small option.

Many publicans could learn how to run a pub by visiting this one! Great atmosphere cracking staff. Only having a quick drink post meetings but good looking menu nice beer garden and attractive loxation. Owned by local firm deserves supporting

Dropped in whilst doing something else in area. What a GREAT pub...friendly staff clean and tidy. Good atmosphere nice garden. If your touring in area worth considering for lunch or supper or as I did quick beer. There are LOADS of pubs and punlicans could learn from having a beer here!

Really good food. Good portions size. Well cooked. Friendly staff, good service. Very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend them .

Couldn’t fault the food. The pie was delicious and the chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The gammon was a good half inch thick, tender and cooked perfectly without being dry. The staff, were polite, friendly and attentive despite it being a very busy Saturday night. The only thing that let down the atmosphere was gentleman at the bar who was slightly worse for wear, and periodically swore quite loudly at the barmaid. I guess he is a local so he was tolerated but anyway, overall it didn’t take the gloss off a very pleasant meal. I would definitely recommend the food here, and it’s great value.

The food was okay, but it certainly wasn't good enough for me to clean my plate. Nice that the meat is sourced locally. The staff were faultless, no waiting around and very friendly. The prices were super reasonable, so I'd consider going again and trying their burgers as they looked really good.

Really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely lunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was well cooked and presented. Recommend the pork belly! No hesitation in recommending this place.

Best steak I've ever had. Would recommend this pub to anyone, and I can't wait to go back. From the service me and my boyfriend had, walking in the door to us leaving was incredible and is very rare to find these days. Your staff are a credit to you and the chef obviously knows what hes doing! The atmosphere was very welcoming and a lovely gentleman gave us a seat next to the fire place, which made us feel even more cosy. Can't wait to come back and join you for one of your entertainment nights!
