We stayed over for two nights while I was working - left my husband fishing the day away in the Viaduct’s lakes. He was happy when I got back, having caught 22 fish including one species new to him - all well with the world! The lodge was very comfortable and well-equipped, good and rapid communication from the owners/admin team though we didn’t meet. Ideal location for exploring the many beautiful and interesting places Somerset has to offer, highly recommend. Nearby activities: Fish out of the cabin! Easy drive to lots of other places. Some excellent dining options within 5-w0 mins drive, all helpfully listed in a well-laid out manual.

We had a great stay in Alpine lodge. It had everything we needed for our stay. Great fishing on the doorstep and storage for fishing gear outside. We will be back to stay sometime in 2024 and I will be back on a day ticket to fish soon. Rooms: Spaces rooms with ample storage. Nearby activities: Clarks village 15 minute drive and Glastonbury 25 minute drive. The White Hart in the village of Somerton does great food.

I hadn't been to Viaduct for a few years and I was not disa6on my return. We fished Cary and had bites most casts. Loads of bream and some carp which were all of a good size, mostly 10lb+ Handy on site tackle shop had all the bait needed.

Spent a week here with 3 young teenagers. The lodge was really very well equipped and very comfortable. Excellent WiFi. Friendly owners and great tackle shop. Fishing was fab .. stayed at Kingfisher lodge which has good private pegs. The boys and I all had lots of fish. Best time is late afternoon up to dusk. Will be back.

I've been coming here since 2018 with family and friends for a relaxing fishing holiday. It's also handily placed to visit the seaside for a day out, or a treasure hunt with the grandchildren. The owners Steve, Helen and son Matt are …
