The Royal Oak is a great pub with a good beer selection at very reasonable prices. It's popular with the locals, but for tourists, head into the town centre. Great place to watch the football.

Great little pub that welcomed us in! Bar staff and owner were really friendly. Was always clean and tidy when we were there. They have a selection of drinks ranging from spirits to larger and cask ales. Nicely priced too.

We found the pub to be very welcoming. Sprinkled with locals and atmosphere, the landlord was a very decent and friendly chap. He took time out to say hello and make sure we were okay. Staff very professional and hardworking. Served a great selection of beers, both local and national. The food was top notch. Very well priced and a generous serving. I would particularly recommend the Sunday lunch.

Does what it says on the tin. Good regularly changing real ales. Straight forward hearty food. Good value Sunday lunch. Caters for the lads (young &old) and accompanying lassies.

Love this pub, have had some amazing nights with mates and family here. Owners are friendly and down to earth.
